Hi, I’m Kasey! The gal behind Off of 29th

I launched Offof29th in September 2022, and can’t believe I’m already celebrating three years in business this year! Originally from Colfax, I made my way to Cheney for six years (go Eags! 🎓) where I earned both my undergrad and graduate degrees at EWU, before landing on Spokane’s South Hill in 2020 and calling it home ever since.

When I'm not working, you can find me hitting the slopes up at Schweitzer Mountain, exploring local lakes by paddleboard, competing for last place in trivia nights with friends, and cheering on the Cougs and Eags!

A dinner view that’s worth the drive: The Porchlight

One of the top questions I always see around the Spokane foodie scene is: where are the spots that actually give you an experience? Let me put you on....The Porchlight in Valleyford! Serving breakfast, lunch, AND dinner.

A short drive out of Spokane takes you into rolling hills, dinner amongst the pines, soaking in those dreamy Palouse views… then you’re huddled around the fire with your favorite glass of wine thinking, yeah… life’s good. 🌲🍷✨

Here’s what we tried: margherita flatbread, loaded tots, quesadilla, porchlight salad, chicken Caesar wrap, & cheesecake bites (no notes!)

And it’s not just the vibes… The Porchlight took 1st Place for Best Outdoor Dining on the Palouse!🏆
